Dead Man’s Hand (Westerns) - Now Full
5 pieces of Crime fiction set in the Wild West – minimum word count 10 – 12 thousand words. Pieces already slated for this are from Jim Doherty (author of CWA shortlisted Novel An Obscure Grave) and Alex Frew (author of over 21 novels published by Hale). Three more pieces are needed.
An Alternative Line of Inquiry (LGBTQ)
Joseph Hansen had David Brandstetter, Richard Stevenson has Donald Strachey, Katherine V. Forrest has Kate Delafield, Patricia Highsmith’s Mr Ripley, Renee James’s Bobbi Logan… Character first, orientation second – No Erotica or Romance-Centred – we’re looking for Crime, first and foremost – be it Police Procedural through to Cosy. And, as with Dead Man’s Hand, we’re looking for longer pieces that give characters a chance to breathe and develop.
